Portrait article on innoFSPEC research group leader Dr. Roland Hass

In the recent issue of the university magazine 'Portal Wissen', you can find a portrait article on our colleague Dr. Roland Hass. Roland is heading the innoFSPEC research group Applied Analytical Photonics. His research focus is the development of fibre-optical photonic components and their combination for spectroscopy and sensing in the processing industry and in its related research.

innoFSPEC goes Physics, Chemistry and Biology

On the occasion of innoFSPEC Potsdam's 10th anniversary, we recently hosted a research and innovation forum at Campus Golm, University of Potsdam. The motto was 'innoFSPEC goes Physics, Chemistry and Biology'. After greetings from national and state ministries as well as from the University of Potsdam, the audience enjoyed several talks and gained exciting insights into different disciplines. innoFSPEC presenting Astrophotonics at EPIC Annual General Meeting in Berlin

EPIC is the foremost industry association that promotes the sustainable development of organisations working in the field of photonics in Europe.

Martin Roth was invited to give a keynote speech on April 19, 2018, at the annual general meeting of EPIC at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin, celebrating the 15 anniversary of the organization. With a presentation entitled "Imagination – Invention – Innovation: the case of astrophotonics for technology transfer“ the participants were taken through a slide show from impressive photographs of stars, nebulae, and galaxies, to the application of photonics for astrophysical instrumentation.

innoFSPEC Potsdam is growing and we are currently looking for a Project Manager for the 'Technology Campus Golm' with a background in natural sciences and/or project management and knowledge & technology transfer.
