Best talk award for Thomas Schiewe
How can the innoFSPEC core technology Photon Density Wave (PDW) Spectroscopy help to improve biotech processes? With his talk in the context of the 13th interdisciplinary PhD workshop "Process analytics and beyond" at the BAM (Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, Berlin), innoFSPEC fellow Thomas Schiewe has recently won the best talk award. It was a joint talk together with TU Berlin scientist Björn Gutschmann, with the title "E. coli, R. eutropha, and Photon Density Waves". The talk focussed on in-line monitoring of high density E. coli cultivations and PHA bioplastic production processes in R. eutropha utilizing renewable feedstocks.
The PhD workshop is an annual event organized by GDCh (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker) and DECHEMA. Congratulations, Thomas!
